Dr. Zhaoxia Deng is an Assistant Professor of the School of English for International Business, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She holds an LLM from the National University of Singapore and a PhD from the University of Hong Kong. From September 2019, she has been accepted as a visiting scholar at the School of Law, UCLA, for one year. Her research interests mainly focus on international economic law, IP Law, and data privacy. She successfully received two ministerial level projects and participated in one National Social Science Fund Project. Her works appear in academic journals such as CLSR, JKE, GNLULR, JCIL, etc. She received the First Prize in the Competition for Early Career Scholar of the ATRIP 38th Annual Congress, the ISSN International Best Researcher Award 2023, the Outstanding Research Achievement Award of GDUFS, and the First Prize for Excellent Undergraduate Teaching of GDUFS. She is now an associate researcher of the South China Institute for International Intellectual Property, a member of the Creative Commons Hong Kong and a member of the International Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property. She also serves as the editorial board or reviewer for some international journals.
